ABC Radio comes up with a novel way to serve up some recognition!

Thursday 8 October 2009

We all know of people who do great things and go the extra mile for others but often these very same people are the unsung heroes within their own communities. ABC Coast FM has come up with a novel way to serve up some well earned recognition to local peeps via their Pass The Thermometer segment. In true Six Degrees Of Separation style, each recipient is then asked to pass it onto another worthy person and uROk.tv founder Sari Mustonen-Kirk was thrilled to be third in line to receive the 'thermometer'.

Listen here as Peter Scott interviews Sari on how and why she was nominated.

Receiving the thermometer from Eve Connelly Founder & CEO of Evolve Makeup who was nominated for her work with the Lifehouse Projects, Sari then passed it onto Alicia Mayer Beverley for her work as Vice Patron of the Academy Asia Pacific Screen Awards. Go girls - uROk!!

To hear what Eve and Alicia had to say, click on the Pass The Thermometer link above and scroll through the breakfast show grabs.

Know anyone who really deserves some recognition in QLD? Get in touch with ABC Coast FM and let them know.
